SCROLLYSPARK GUIDE
Survive by collecting friendly sparks, avoiding enemies, and mastering power-ups!
CONTROLS
Move Up & Down
Hold anywhere on screen (or hold mouse/spacebar) to float upward. Release to fall with gravity.
Dash
Double-tap to dash forward! Collects friendly sparks along your path. Costs some size to use and has a cooldown, so time it well.
CORE MECHANICSMECHANICS
Size Matters
Your spark grows when eating friendly sparks and shrinks when hit by enemies. If you get too small, it's game over!
Combo System
Collect sparks quickly to build combos! Higher combos multiply your score up to 10x. The combo timer resets if you stop collecting.
Speed Multiplier
Play at 1x, 1.5x, 2x, or 3x speed. Higher speeds are harder but multiply your score! Change speed anytime during gameplay.
Difficulty Scaling
The game gets progressively harder as you travel further. More enemies spawn and obstacles become more frequent.
🚧SCREEN BOUNDARIES
🔵 Top (Blue Zone)
The ceiling is bouncy! Hit it and you'll bounce back down safely. No damage taken.
🔴 Bottom (Red Zone)
The floor is dangerous! Touching it damages you and bounces you back up. Avoid at all costs!
SPARK TYPES
Friendly Spark
Green sparks are your friends! Collect them to grow bigger and score points. The bigger the spark, the more you grow.
Enemy Spark
Red sparks are dangerous! They shrink you on contact. Dodge them or grab a shield to stay safe.
Golden Spark
Rare and valuable! Grants massive points, significant growth, and temporary invincibility. Never miss these!
POWER-UPS
Shield
Grants a protective barrier that blocks one enemy hit. Stack up to 3 shields for extra protection!
Magnet
Attracts nearby friendly sparks toward you for 5 seconds. Great for building combos quickly!
Slow-Mo
Slows down time for 4 seconds, making it easier to navigate through dense spark clusters.
Ghost
Become intangible for 3 seconds! Pass through enemies without taking damage.
Supernova
Rare and powerful! Auto-collects nearby friendly sparks and destroys enemies in a wide radius for 2 seconds. Grants invincibility while active.
🚧OBSTACLES
Deadly Panels
Red obstacles deal heavy damage on contact. Navigate around them carefully!
Bounce Panels
Blue obstacles bounce you away safely. Use them strategically to navigate!
Safe Panels
Gray obstacles block your path but don't deal damage. Just avoid getting stuck!
Gates & Gaps
Narrow passages you must fly through. Time your movement carefully!
Boulders
Rolling rocks that bounce around the screen and knock sparks out of the way. They'll push you around on contact but don't deal damage.
💡PRO TIPS
- ▸Stay in the middle of the screen for maximum maneuverability
- ▸Use your dash to quickly collect a line of friendly sparks or reposition in a pinch
- ▸Prioritize golden sparks - they're worth the risk!
- ▸Build combos by collecting sparks quickly - the multiplier caps at 10x
- ▸Use the bouncy ceiling to your advantage when dodging
- ▸Higher game speeds = higher scores, but only if you can survive!
